Hips, midline, shoulders, brachial plexus

Recovery for the muscles that carry you

Your horse's topline does the heavy lifting: it carries you, your saddle and every fence you jump. After a hard day, that's where the tightness settles, and an evening standing in a show stall only stiffens it further. Six pads of ceramics set into the mesh, four across the body and two at the neck over the brachial plexus, cover it all at once, turning the heat your horse already gives off into far infrared their body readily absorbs, to support healthy circulation and help tight muscles relax. Most of the far infrared lands under each pad, and with six of them over the hips, midline, shoulders and brachial plexus, there's a pad over every muscle that carried you today.

Over the back and topline
  1. Before
    While you tack up

Twenty minutes in the cross-ties, so a cold-backed horse isn't starting the warm-up tight.

  2. After
    Cooling out

On after the ride, the way you'd use a cooler, to support muscle recovery and a healthy inflammatory response.

  3. In the stall
Show weeks and long days in

Long hours standing in leave a horse tight. With the blanket on, the circulation keeps moving while they can't.

  4. Every day
    The older campaigner

A daily routine for older horses that stiffen up overnight, so they start the day looser.

The result: a horse that walks out of the stall loose instead of stiff, bounces back between rides, and stays comfortable doing the job for longer.

Therapy you own, not book

Most whole-body therapy for horses comes by appointment: a practitioner, a machine, a power outlet and a bill every visit. The PTR Blanket has no motor, battery or cord. Your horse's own body heat activates the ceramics, so it works every time it's on, for as long as it's on.

FAQ

PTR Blanket questions

View all FAQs
Will it fit my horse?

It's one size, with adjustable chest, belly, tail and leg straps. Not sure? Call us at +1-610-215-2004.

Does it make my horse hot? Can I use it in summer?

The ceramics don't produce heat, and the body is mesh, so it isn't a warming blanket. In very hot weather, don't leave it lying in the sun before you put it on: it can get too hot to touch.

How long should it stay on?

As long as you like. There's no time limit, so it can stay on all day.

Can more than one horse use it?

Yes. Some trainers rotate one blanket through the barn during the day. If you'd rather each horse has their own, a Gladiator concierge can plan a barn order with you.

Do the ceramics wear out?

No. You could bury one on the beach, dig it up 20 years later, and it would still be working, so the ceramics can outlast the blanket they come in.

What if it's not right for my horse?

The PTR Blanket comes with our 30-day money-back guarantee. Call us at +1-610-215-2004 to start a return. Shipping costs aren't refundable.
